about who we are

What is IMPACD CIC?

IMPACD CIC is a service created by Amanda Hose-Hawley.

She is passionate about movement and has done a lot of research in this area.

We help people to explore their creativity.

We are located in Ward 6.

Ward 6 is one of the poorest areas of Nottingham and the UK.

We care about helping our local area.

We fight for fairness in Nottingham.

This is why we include people who find it hard to participate.

Everyone in Nottingham is welcome to join us.

What is our mission?

IMPACD CIC creates inclusive spaces.

People of all abilities and backgrounds can discover the impact that movement can have on their lives.

We aim to tackle loneliness.

We aim to promote well-being.

We aim to help people express themselves.

What do we do for you?

We aim to make creative arts accessible.

Our group includes people of all ages and abilities.

Diversity is at the heart of our sessions.

At IMPACD CIC, we respect and support all.

We create a safe and inclusive environment.

We encourage everyone to find their own movement style.

We want all participants to feel a sense of belonging.

We express ourselves and contribute to the creative energy of the group.

You will become more confident.

You will enjoy being part of an inclusive group.

What can movement do for you?

Dance, art and music are powerful.

These activities will help you to improve your physical health and grow as a person.

You can explore your emotions and abilities.

You can also develop your identity and values.

We aim to have a positive impact on your life thanks to inclusive and creative arts.

Movement improves your well-being.

You can make new friends and continue to grow as a person.

Celebrate diversity and feel the happiness that movement can bring.

How do we run our sessions?

The Inclusive Movement Programme (IMP) is an important tool for us.

This special tool uses everyday words, pictures, and fun ways to involve everyone.

People can explore our safe space through dancing, moving and doing art.

Our activities help people to grow and be creative.

We like having different kinds of people and include everyone in what we do.

We have trained leaders in our team.

They are passionate about inclusive movement.

They ensure that every session meets all needs and expectations.

Project Support Workers help them to check that everyone feels safe and has a good time.

We always check how we are doing and try to get better.

We ask people who take part what they think.

We have rules to make sure everyone is happy.

We give people the tools they need to become more confident.

Do you want to join us?

IMPACD CIC welcomes people from all over Nottingham to be part of our group.

We invite people, families and people who care for them to join us.

Together, we can create a positive space for everyone.
