about us

In our inclusive community, people of all body abilities, ages, and experiences come together to engage in a creative and expressive journey. We believe that dance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive abilities.

Our sessions embrace diversity and encourage individuals to explore their unique movement styles. Creating a safe and inclusive environment fosters a sense of belonging where all participants can freely express themselves and contribute to the collective creative energy.

Through dance, art and music, individuals improve their physical well-being and experience personal growth, increased self-confidence, and a deepened appreciation for the power of inclusivity.

Join us and discover the transformative potential of dance as we celebrate the beauty of diversity and the joy of movement.

At IMPACD CIC, we believe every person deserves to be respected, valued and supported. We provide a safe space designed to maximise the positive potential of an inclusive Participatory Art environment, where participants can explore their emotions, identity, abilities and values in a safe and non-threatening manner.

We are dedicated to positively impacting individuals’ lives through inclusive movement and creative expression. We believe in the power of movement to promote well-being, foster connections, and enhance personal growth.

Our Mission: At IMPACD CIC, our mission is to create inclusive spaces where people of all abilities and backgrounds can explore the transformative potential of movement. We aim to reduce isolation, promote physical and mental well-being, and empower individuals to express themselves authentically.

Who We Are: IMPACD CIC is the brainchild of Amanda Hose-Hawley, a visionary who recognised the need for a vital service that nurtures creativity and empowers individuals. Amanda’s passion, combined with her extensive studies and valuable networks, inspired the creation of IMPACD CIC.

Based in Ward 6, an area of Nottingham ranked in the UK’s top 10% of deprivation, we are deeply committed to serving our local community. However, we welcome individuals from across the city, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all.

Our Approach: The Inclusive Movement Programme (IMP) is central to our approach. This unique methodology employs familiar language, symbols, and creative techniques to engage individuals with diverse learning styles and abilities. We provide a safe and supportive environment for personal exploration and growth through dance, movement, and various forms of artistic expression.

Inclusivity and Diversity: We are dedicated to reaching individuals who may face barriers to participation, particularly those in disadvantaged communities. Our programs aim to address inequalities by offering opportunities for personal development and creative expression. We embrace diversity in all forms and actively work to break societal barriers through inclusive practices.

Our dedicated team comprises highly skilled and trained professionals in inclusive movement and related disciplines. Our Specialist Leaders possess expertise in adapting sessions to cater to participants’ desires, abilities, and personal experiences. They are supported by experienced Project Support Workers who ensure a safe and enriching environment for all.

Continuous Improvement: We are committed to ongoing evaluation and improvement. Regular assessments, participant feedback, and quality control measures inform the evolution of our training programs, delivery methods, and overall impact. We strive to enhance our participants’ personal and professional development, providing them with valuable tools for self-expression and growth.

Join Us: Whether you reside in Ward 6 or any other area of Nottingham, IMPACD CIC welcomes you. We invite individuals, support agencies, families, and carers across the city to join our inclusive community. Together, we can create a positive and empowering environment where everyone can thrive.

Thank you for visiting IMPACD CIC. We invite you to explore our programs, join our movement, and embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery and connection. Together, let’s harness the power of creativity and movement to make a lasting IMPACD in our lives and communities.
