At IMPACD CIC, we are absolutely thrilled to announce the commencement of Stage 2 of our “Freedom to Explore” project. This significant milestone has been made possible thanks to the generous funding from Sport England, allowing us to spread the joy of restorative and creative dance sessions to some amazing organizations and individuals.

Expanding Our Reach: Partnerships That Make a Difference

In this project stage, we are extending our arms wide to collaborate with organizations and communities that share our passion for inclusivity and well-being. We are proud to announce that we will be working with the following partners:

  1. Space Inclusive: Space Inclusive is an organisation dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities. Together, we aim to create an environment where dance becomes a form of self-expression and empowerment for all participants.
  2. Radford Care Group: Radford Care Group is committed to enhancing the quality of life for older people. Through our partnership, we will bring the joy of dance to seniors, promoting physical activity and social interaction.
  3. The Dementia Choir: Our Dementia Choir provides a unique space for individuals living with dementia to connect through music. By adding dance to their repertoire, we hope to enrich their lives further by promoting movement and creativity.
  4. A Small Group of Older Residents from the Wollaton Area: We are excited to work directly with a local community of older residents, bringing them the benefits of dance in their neighbourhood.

60 Sessions, 6 Months, Countless Transformations

Thanks to Sport England’s support, we are embarking on a journey of 60 sessions over the next six months. Each session will be guided by five enthusiastic and experienced community dance leaders. These leaders are skilled dancers and experts in creating inclusive and accessible practices that put the participants at the centre of the experience.

A Person-Centered Approach to Dance

At IMPACD CIC, we believe that dance is not just about movement; it’s about fostering connections, boosting confidence, and nurturing individual creativity. Our sessions will be tailored to each participant’s unique needs and preferences. We will create a safe and welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable expressing themselves through dance.

Through the “Freedom to Explore” project, we aim to:

  • Improve physical and mental well-being
  • Enhance social interactions and reduce feelings of isolation
  • Cultivate a sense of achievement and empowerment
  • Promote creativity and self-expression

Join Us on this Journey

We invite you to follow our journey as we embark on this exciting stage of the “Freedom to Explore” project. Stay connected with us on our website and social media channels for updates, stories, and highlights from our dance sessions.

As we venture into this new phase, we are grateful for Sport England’s support, our incredible partners, and the amazing individuals we have the privilege to work with. We are dancing our way towards a more inclusive and joyful community.

Let’s dance into freedom and explore the transformative power of movement together!

A middle-aged slender female session leader with short dark hair, wearing a blue jumpsuit and yellow cardigan, eyes closed and serene-looking, moves her arms pensively. Beautiful wings which adorn the back wall of the IMPACD studio seem to come out of her back like a bird in flight.
