A Visionary Dance Advocate

Amanda Hose-Hawley is not your typical dance educator; she is a visionary who has dedicated her life to transforming lives through the power of movement. A graduate of Trinity Laban with a rare distinction across all units, Amanda’s journey has been marked by innovation, inclusivity, and an unwavering commitment to making the world of dance accessible to all.

With over two decades of experience as a Cuban Salsa and Dominican Bachata teacher, Amanda’s patient and adaptable teaching style has captivated audiences nationally and internationally. Her expertise is not confined to the dance floor but extends to community dance delivery, where she shines as a beacon of creativity and empathy.

A turning point in Amanda’s career came during the tumultuous COVID years when she merged her Criminal Justice and Social Care background with her passion for dance. Her exploration led to the creation of the groundbreaking IMP (Inclusive Movement Prompt) tool, a game-changer for individuals with diverse abilities, including those with Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, learning disabilities, and Parkinson’s disease.

Amanda’s remarkable journey includes successful initiatives like “Explore,” funded by Arts Council England, which combat isolation and loneliness among marginalized groups. Her dedication has increased attendance in community and Latin dance and created safer spaces for all, including the LGBTQ+ community.

Today, Amanda is at the forefront of a movement that champions inclusivity and well-being. Her leadership has attracted substantial funding from organizations like Sport England and Arts Council England, providing daily dance, art, and drumming sessions to the most marginalized communities in Nottingham.

Beyond her remarkable achievements, Amanda Hose-Hawley is an entrepreneur who employs freelance dancers and artists and supports others in realizing their creative potential. Her generous spirit and enthusiastic networking have made her a sought-after mentor in the dance community.

Amanda’s journey has no boundaries, as she collaborates with international partners and institutions like Luther College Iowa and the University of Nottingham to expand the reach of IMPACD CIC, furthering accessibility and sensory experiences for all.

In sum, Amanda Hose-Hawley is more than a dancer and educator; she is a visionary catalyst for positive change. Her story is an inspiration, her work transformative, and her vision boundless. With Amanda at the helm, the dance world is becoming a more inclusive and vibrant space for all to enjoy.

A middle-aged slender female session leader with short dark hair, wearing a blue jumpsuit and yellow cardigan, eyes closed and serene-looking, moves her arms pensively. Beautiful wings which adorn the back wall of the IMPACD studio seem to come out of her back like a bird in flight.
