Partners & affiliates
IMPACD dance leaders are affiliated with People Dancing and adhere to their Code of Conduct, demonstrating their commitment to the values and principles of community dance.
Our skilled professionals have extensive training, experience, and professionalism. They prioritize professional competence, responsibility, safety, and respect in their practice.
With relevant qualifications, continuous learning, and compliance with legal requirements, including Enhanced DBS checks and public liability insurance, customers can trust our dance leaders’ expertise.
They create a safe and empowering environment where individuals can freely express themselves and engage in transformative dance experiences, fostering personal development, well-being, and social connections.
We are a registered Transfriendly arts centre committed to inclusivity and support for transgender individuals.
We provide a safe and affirming space where everyone can freely express themselves. Our staff is educated and trained to ensure a welcoming environment, and we offer gender-neutral facilities and use gender-affirming language.
Embracing trans-friendliness allows us to foster creativity, celebrate diversity, and promote acceptance within our artistic community.
LGBTQIA+ commitment At IMPACD CIC we believe: it is unacceptable to make assumptions about people’s gender or sexuality; each of us should be respectful of another’s personal integrity and use, without question, the pronouns a person asks us to use; no other person should impose or express expectations on an individual’s gender presentation; a person’s gender or sexuality is a topic for conversation only when, and to the extent that, they specifically express it to be so.
At IMPACD CIC we encourage all of our participants to learn about the history of the continued struggle for LGTBQIA+ rights.
We are proud to be part of Safer Dance Spaces (SDS), a global organization dedicated to creating safer and more inclusive dance spaces.
By joining SDS, we join a community of dance teachers and organizers committed to positively impacting partner dance communities.
As SDS members, we have undergone an induction workshop where we gained essential knowledge about recognizing and responding to (sexual) abuse.
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of abuse, ensuring that our dance space remains a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
Together, we strive to raise awareness and promote a culture of consent and respect within the (social dance) community.
